SYDNEY, NSW: After making it to the finals of the Australian International Design Awards and winning in the UK’s Which consumer choice awards earlier this year, German power house Bosch has announced two new products to be released in time for retailers' Christmas buying this year.
Cleaning up in the floorcare category is the Roxx’x ProSilence Vacuum – a bagless vac that utilises “SensorBagless Technology” and “Compressor Technology” for quiet and efficient operation, according to a Bosch spokesperson.
Despite its 1400 watt motor, the ProSilence offers a reasonably quiet 72 decibel output, 13 decibels quieter than the average vacuum. In addition, the vacuum features Bosch’s RobustAir System is optimised for picking up fine dust and pet hair, while the larger diameters in the unit offer a 20 per cent increase in standard air flow for better suction and reduced clogging.
It also features an Air Clean HEPA filter, 3-litre capacity, 11-metre automatically retracting cord and two on-board tools for upholstery and crevices. The ProSilence joins other vacuums in Bosch’s Roxx’x range, including the All Rounder, ProPet and Home Professional.
The Bosch Roxx’x ProSilence (BGS6SIL1AU) will be available in September for RRP $699.

Also being released in time for Christmas is the Bosch VeroBar 600 fully automatic coffee machine. Billed as “a personal 24 hour barista”, the machine features a one touch function that makes a variety of coffees in just 20 seconds.
The machine’s SensoFlow heating system ensures “water is heated faster with precise temperature control for better energy efficiency” while the pipes are automatically rinsed clean after each coffee.
The VeroBar features a ceramic grinding unit that can be customised to three different grinding settings, as well as a Cream Centre with height-adjustable milk frother that takes insulated milk as it is needed for each coffee to ensure freshness.
The Bosch VeroBar 600 will be available in October for RRP $2,899.
