LG Electronics is unveiling its 2025 LG Gram line-up at CES 2025 – the company’s first on-device AI-powered laptops. The new line-up includes gram Pro, gram Pro2-in-1, gram, and gram Book. While retaining the series slim and lightweight design, the new range leverages LG gram AI technology to deliver a smart, secure and highly personalised user experience.
With gram Chat On-Device, AI algorithms process and analyse data locally without requiring a network connection. A small language model derived from LG AI Research’s EXAONE large language model is employed by gram Chat On-Device for fast and secure local processing.
Access to cloud-based AI services is also provided through gram Chat Cloud which is powered by GPT-4o and uses web-based datasets for detailed and comprehensive responses to user inquiries. While this is a subscription-based service, LG is offering this free of charge for the first year.
The integration of on-device and cloud-based AI on the LG gram range essentially creates a hybrid AI solution.
Powered by Intel’s next generation processors; the Intel Core Ultra H-Series (Arrow Lake) and Intel Core Ultra V Series (Lunar Lake), the 2025 gram laptops set a new performance benchmark for the series. Arrow Lake-powered gram delivers more computing power and improved graphics processing compared to the 2024 gram models. Likewise Lunar Lake-powered models come equipped with Microsoft’s “Copilot+” PC functionality.
At the forefront of the 2025 line-up with the best performance and portability is the LG gram Pro with a hardware combination of Arrow Lake CPU and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 graphics card for handling a variety of demanding resource intensive tasks.
The LG gram Pro 2-in-1 has been recognised with a CES 2025 Innovation Award for its impressive design and functionality. The device comes with a wirelessly chargeable stylus pen for enhancing the user experience.
The LG gram Book offers an entry level model in the series with key features and benefits at a more accessible price.
The new gram laptops support Link 2.0 for seamless device connectivity across operating systems allowing users to share content and transfer files across a diverse range of PC and mobile products including iOS and Android-based smartphones.
LG Electronics, vice president and head of IT business unit for LG’s Media Entertainment Solution Company, YS Lee said, “LG is committed to delivering premium-quality laptops that harness the latest AI technologies to enable users to do and achieve more.”
