LG Electronics has unveiled a new lineup of OLED gaming monitors in the UltraGear GX9 series, including the 45GX990A and an all-in-one smart gaming monitor powered by LG webOS. The GX9 series has been recognised with three CES 2025 Innovation Awards including the ‘Best of Innovation’.
All UltraGear GX9 models now feature curved display panels with LG WOLED technology for higher brightness, true blacks and optimised curvature. The GX9 series has been certified for low blue light emissions, reducing eye strain during longer gaming sessions. The LG Anti-Glare and Low Reflection coating reduces screen reflections and glare for enhanced visuals even in bright rooms.
Both the 45GX990A and 45GX950A are 45-inch, 21:9 gaming monitors. In a first for OLED monitors, they also provide ultra-high 5K2K resolution (5,120 x 2,160). The 21:9 aspect ratio is designed for a more immersive gaming experience when compared to standard 16:9 displays yet offers better content compatibility than 32:9 monitors.
Both monitors are fitted with second-generation LG Dual Mode for customisable aspect ratios (21:9 or 16:9) and picture sizes (39-inch, 34-inch or 27-inch) with single-touch switches between preset screen resolution and refresh rate settings. There are eight configurations for users to personalise their gaming setups or support different game genres, including FPS, RPG, MOBA and racing simulators.

In a world-first, the LG UltraGear OLED Bendable Gaming Monitor (model 45GX990A) is the only 5K2K-resolution bendable OLED display. The 45-inch monitor can be moved from completely flat to a 900R curvature quickly and easily. The upgraded LG Dual Mode feature enables customers to switch between resolution and refresh rate presets, while also customising aspect ratio and picture size. Smooth gameplay and increased immersion are achieved with an ultra-fast 0.03ms (GtG) response time.
The LG UltraGear OLED Gaming Monitor (model 45GX950A) includes a curved 800R, 21:9 format 5K2K-resolution self-lit 45-inch panel for higher contrast and sharper images. A four-side Virtually Borderless design increases user immersion and overall aesthetic. The monitor also features 125 pixels per-inch (PPI) and RGWB subpixel layout, improving readability of in-game text and simplifying tasks such as editing documents and website content.
