Ten awards were given to Consumer Electronics categories at the 2015 POPAI Marketing at Retail Awards. The Sonos Wireless Speaker display took out both the Gold and the Pinnacle awards for Permanent Display.
The Awards were presented in conjunction with the 2015 Marketing at Retail Expo, held in the same venue. “This year we expanded the awards in line with the shift toward retail and shopper experience, and the growing role of digital and technology in retail environments. The scope of all of the awards entries, and winners in the consumer electronics category in particular, shows how far the industry has come. Congratulations to all the winners, and to the industry for continuing to respond and lead,” POPAI ANZ vice chair and head of shopper insights at GfK Norrelle Goldring said.
Some Pinnacle, Gold and Silver winner award details:
Permanent Display Pinnacle and Gold Awards: Sonos Wireless Speaker Display (Pinnacle, Gold awards)
The display helps shoppers to understand how the speaker range and app work together to deliver wireless multiroom audio. It is designed to range all speakers and be flexible so it is easy to set up and update when new products are launched.
Consumer Electronics Permanent Display Silver: Samsung Sparkling Fridge Working
This display highlights the product as a premium market leader by enabling shopper interaction with a chilled sparkling water dispenser through the added use of lighting, graphics and media.
Consumer Electronics Temporary Display Silver: Lenovo Table Topper Display
The objective was to create a retro-fitted display into existing PC aisle which would not only drive preference and purchase intent, but also so shoppers could easily identify and rationalize the Lenovo products so that they felt confident and empowered to navigate the range.
Integrated Path to Purchase Silver: Myer Ecommerce Hub Parramatta
The objective was to present Myer Customer Service in an experiential way. A place to discover Myer’s services in one central location, bringing together technology, interactivity, and unique services. Thus removing the need for customers to travel to various floors to access different services, taking away some of the pain points of in-store shopping.
