Esteemed veterinarian, television personality and author, Dr Chris Brown has been welcomed as an official brand ambassador for Canon Australia. Kicking off his role, he will be a judge for the Canon Light Awards – a monthly competition by photographers, for photographers – setting September’s brief as ‘Pet Personalities’.
Dr Chris Brown invites participants to submit entries that capture their pets’ personalities in a way that almost shows what they are thinking, and brings to life their most special characteristics.
“Besides being a beloved veterinarian and highly-regarded TV personality, Chris is great with a camera and has an incredible dedication to capturing moments in new and creative ways,” Canon Australia director of consumer imaging, Jason McLean said.
“No one sees it like Chris does; we are thrilled to have him on board as a Canon Ambassador, where he can share this perspectives and skills,” McLean added.
Dr Chris Brown said, “Photography is my secret pleasure no one really knows about. Most people are used to seeing me in front of the lens but actually I have been behind the lens using Canon cameras since I was a kid. I use them every single day to document both animals and landscapes. I am especially keen to see the submissions for the Canon Light Awards this month, and invite everyone to take up the challenge to capture their pets’ personality and condense it into a frame.”
