Canon Australia is expanding its refillable ink tank colour printer range, with a new printer designed specifically for home photo printing, the three-in-one Canon PIXMA G660.

The PIXMA G660 uses six dye-based inks, including two new dedicated red and grey dyes, for a wider colour range, creating deeper shaded areas and richer colours for stronger contrast. Canon’s Fine print head technology promises enhanced image quality, gradation expression and image stability.

With reduced colour shift across different media types, from double-sided matte to conventional glossy and semi-gloss paper, users can produce high-quality prints across a range of media. Photography enthusiasts can print borderless photos up to A4 and choose from media types such as Canon’s Magnetic Photo paper for personalising fridge magnets.

Canon’s latest inkjet printers feature MegaTank ink bottles which deliver high page yields with one set of bottles capable of printing up to 3,800 borderless 4×6-inch photo prints. Users save up to 94% on the cost of ink for 4×6-inch borderless photos that take just 47 seconds to print.

With user-replaceable maintenance cartridge, the PIXMA G660 makes it easy to manage the device and reduce downtime. The new GI-63 series MegaTank ink bottles feature a key-type nozzle unique to each colour to avoid any errors and require minimal effort to refill.

Designed with efficiency in mind, the printer includes an Auto Power On/Off, while the two-line LCD display simplifies managing printer settings. The Canon PIXMA G660 offers Wi-Fi connectivity to wirelessly connect computers, cameras and smart devices and print snaps directly via the Canon Print app, Mopria for Android or Apple AirPrint.

The Canon PIXMA G660 will be available from end of April at Harvey Norman for RRP $599.
