Breville has won the Brand Store of the Year award for its Gangnam experiential store in South Korea.
Judges at the Retail Asia Awards recognised the Breville Cafe & Store which has driven brand awareness and enhancing quality coffee experiences from a concept that is the first of its kind from the coffee machine manufacturer.
The award was accepted by Breville Group Asia Pacific President Mark O’Kelly, who attended the event.
The Breville Cafe & Store Sinsa in Gangnam retail showroom features an espresso bar offering specialty coffee made by Breville machines for consumers to experience with an easy walk-in cafe environment at prices similar to what they can get at home.

The experiential store also offers a detailed machine consulting service by trained professionals who have extensive experience working at coffee roasters as well as within cafes and hospitality.
The store was specifically created to appeal to both customers entering the coffee category and experienced coffee aficionados who can obtain training and demonstrations of the Breville machines. Master Classes are also held where consumers can access a livestream where the finer points of espresso extraction and latte art are explained in detail.
According to Breville, Cafe & Store was set up to attract a newer and wider scope of customers as well as to grow brand awareness.

Since its debut in late 2022, Breville has grown to become one of the leading coffee machine brands in South Korea and continues to grow with sales expected to increase over 30 per cent in 2025 alone.
Breville plans to expand the experiential store rollout to additional locations with a second store scheduled to open later this year.
“Our sincere approach to coffee and food has helped the customers believe in the quality of coffee and food that Breville can deliver and is driving an unprecedented brand growth in Korea whilst all major brands in the category are declining,” said Breville Korea General Manager, Jongha Lee.
