Beko has communicated to retail partners that prices will increase from 7 April due to global manufacturing challenges and the impact of associated cost increases.

“At Beko, we greatly value the continued support of our retail partners and we stay committed to providing them with high-quality products and services from a class-leading ‘sustainable’ European brand,” Beko national sales manager, Eddie Gaymer, said in a statement supplied to Appliance Retailer.

Beko has confirmed that the increases are in line with other manufacturers – around 5-6 per cent across the board – however increases are dependent on the individual product and the category.

“With this in mind, recent global manufacturing challenges have significantly impacted the supply and manufacturing of our appliances and despite our best efforts to incur these rising costs, some of those pressures have been reflected in our recent price rise communication to our retail partners, affecting some models,” Gaymer said in his statement.

“Specifically, increases in raw materials, freight and supply chain costs, and currency devaluation have all contributed to these challenges.

“Despite these dynamics, Beko remains fully aware of the competitive nature of the current environment and where possible has balanced these competing pressures to minimise disruption to our retail partners’ businesses. We will continue to ensure that our retailer partners receive the highest level of service and quality that they have come to expect,” Gaymer said.
