SYDNEY: RewardsCorp has teamed up with Retravision to launch what the company believes is one of Australia’s largest consumer based retail promotions and the first to match almost dollar-for-dollar what a consumer spends in-store with holiday vouchers.

The Resort Getaways promotion will feature in over 480 Retravision stores Australia-wide and includes the delivery of 5.8 million catalogues this month alone – third only in size to the national delivery of the Tax Pack and the white and yellow pages.

RewardsCorp, a subsidiary of publicly-listed LV Living, offers holiday accommodation to customers via Retravision Resort Getaways cheques.

Retravision Australia chief executive officer, Keith Perkin, said the promotion had already been run separately by Retravision’s state companies last October and November and in New Zealand in December with positive results.

“The promotion has been very successful in delivering a significant point of difference to our customers,” Perkin said.
“We are already looking at the possibility of further extending our exclusive rights to the promotion and the rollout of the campaign beyond this year.”

RewardsCorp managing director, Randall Deer, said the promotion would not only benefit RewardsCorp, but will also provide a competitive edge for Retravision over its opposition.

“This campaign follows on from a number of smaller promotions that have contributed to Retravision stores gaining market share and improving margins,” Deer said.

“The launch of this promotion means we are now supporting Retravision on a national, state, store and sales staff level with a promotion that has been well received by customers and already proven to be successful.”

Retravision Resort Getaways tempts consumers with a large range of three to five star holiday resorts through Australia’s leading holiday accommodation providers and includes international locations such as New Zealand and Fiji.

The promotion is being heavily supported by television, radio and print advertising, which is estimated to reach around 80 per cent of the population.

Accommodation providers linked to the promotion include the Stella Resorts Group – Australia’s largest resort apartment chain, which manages leading leisure brands including Bale Resorts, Peppers Retreats and Resorts, Mantra Resorts and BreakFree Resorts, as well as the Mt Hotham and Falls Creek Ski Resorts.
