MELBOURNE, VIC: Home appliance specialists Asko has a new sales and marketing: Lisa Sutcliffe, who joined the Melbourne-based company at the start of this year.
Sutcliffe comes to Asko from AV Jennings, where she worked on marketing display homes. Prior to this, Jennings had stints in sales and marketing at Westfield, L’Oreal and 7Eleven.
Sutcliffe said it was the chance to work with a European manufacturer of quality appliances that drew her to the role.
“I feel that to market a product you have to be passionate about them, which I am,” she said. “I also like that Asko is Scandinavian in design, which is unique as the Scandinavian are well known for their minimalistic design and for having designs that last a lifetime.
“I also liked that Asko cared for the environment with a large focus of their washing machines being that they save water.”

Sutcliffe plans on bringing approach to the marketing that supports kitchen and laundry appliances.
“A big goal of mine is to make our products more exciting. The popularity of cooking shows can assist me with this by allowing Asko to market our cooking products in a more colourful way, with exciting recipes and the ability to perhaps house a blog area on our website for more consumer interaction.”
Sutcliffe holds a Bachelor of Business and Masters of Marketing.
