Audio Pro has unveiled the new G10 loudspeaker with AirPlay 2 and Google Cast compatibility, adding to its existing multi-room functionality speaker offering.
“For several years we have offered extensive multi-room functionality through our existing range but there has been an increasing demand for AirPlay 2 and Google Cast,” Audio Pro CCO, Jens Henriksen said.
“We thought it appropriate to go all the way with the additional integration of Google Assistant, enabling convenient voice-activated control. We have been able to offer this before but with the Amazon Alexa service on the Addon C5A speaker.
Through its Google Cast function, the G10 can form a multi-room system with other Google Cast speakers to allow voice-activated control over an entire group – or household – of Cast-compatible speakers, even if they do not directly have a built-in Google Assistant function.
Thanks to its small format, the G10 can be placed anywhere around the home but can also be mounted on a wall or ceiling rail, responding to an emerging trend within the home furnishing sector.
“In connection with this product launch, it seemed natural for us to test the market response to this new type of audio installation. We have extensive experience of speakers mounted in rails before, but so far only in our business segment for integration into hotels, restaurants, and shops. We believe that there will soon be a rising desire among consumers to have this type of speaker in their living environment as well,” Henriksen said.
Moving forward, Audio Pro has committed to integration of Google Cast and AirPlay 2 as standard in future products launches.
