Kenwood today unveiled the new Multipro Sense Food Processor, an 8-speed-plus-pulse benchtop appliance that can perform a range of tasks through its broad range of accessories and compatible attachments.
The Multipro Sense has a 1,000-watt motor to provide the grunt, a dishwasher-safe Tritan 3.5-litre bowl for durability and includes a Kenwood ThermoResist Glass Blender.
“This is where Kenwood is unique in the market and has strong consumer appeal,” said category manager Filiz Bensan. “Our motors will operate from various speeds, from low to high, and the variable speed can reach from 5,000 RPM to 18,000 RPM. This ensures there is greater torque and as the load increases it will not slow down, giving the user greater control.”

Bensan said the adaptability of this food processor — in-pack accessories include discs from crinkle cutting, julienning and rasping; a citrus press, a chopping tool, a fold tool and a whisk, among many others — was a major selling point.
“A key trend we are noticing is that consumers want more functionality and highly versatile appliances, and this is clearly becoming more evident in the Food Preparation category,” she said.
“Food Processors are no longer about blending, mixing, slicing or shredding. The Kenwood Multipro Sense Food Processor has a number of multi-tasking functions so is perfect for impassioned food enthusiasts looking to master a variety of culinary delights.”
The Kenwood Multipro Sense Food Processor (FPM810) is RRP $499.
Meanwhile, at that same price point, Sunbeam is currently bracing itself for a rush on its Café Series Planetary Mixmaster (MX9200), on the back of Channel Nine’s new cooking program, The Great Australian Bake Off.
“Even before television bake offs, Sunbeam was inspiring generations of Australians to get baking and continues to inspire a new generation of cake kings and cupcake princesses,” said Sunbeam product manager Lisa Buscomb. “The wide range of bench and hand mixers that feature the latest technologies, the same quality and innovation that Sunbeam has become famous for, will be sure to inspire future generations of Australians to keep up the tradition of baking.”
