ASUS has announced local launch plans for its latest suite of laptops featuring OLED displays, with more details on the hotly anticipated Zenbook 17 Fold OLED coming soon.

First revealed at CES 2022, the new line-up encompasses a versatile range of laptops suited for various users. A couple of the new Zenbooks are available now, including the Zenbook 14X OLED Space Edition ($2,499) and the dual-screen Zenbook Pro 14 Duo OLED ($3,799).

In addition, pricing details have been confirmed on several other models, with the Zenbook 14 OLED version starting at $1,899 when it hits shelves soon, and the creator focused Zenbook Pro 16X OLED will be priced at $4,999 at its expected October launch window.

“OLED technology has previously been quite limited in laptops, however ASUS is continuously committed to pushing the boundaries of the PC industry by bringing innovative technology to more people with multiple use cases, from enterprise level work to consumers and creators,” ASUS Australia head of consumer, Bradley Howe said.

Launched earlier this year, the Zenbook 14X OLED Space Edition commemorated the 25th anniversary of the ASUS P6300 laptop’s 600-day space mission. Running on the 12th Gen Intel Core i7 H-Series processor, it features a 16:10 2.8K OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. In keeping with the space theme, the special edition laptop is capable of withstanding extreme temperatures between -24 and 61 degrees Celsius when in use.

Having recently hit retailers, the Zenbook Pro 14 Duo OLED continues ASUS’ dual-screen laptop series. Intended for creators, it has a 14.5-inch 2.8K 120Hz OLED NanoEdge touchscreen display, plus a 12.7-inch ScreenPad above the keyboard. Combined with up to a 12th Gen Intel Core i9-12900H processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti graphics card, the Zenbook Pro 14 Duo OLED includes a decent amount of power for visually intensive work.

Meanwhile, the Zenbook Pro 16X OLED, also geared towards creative users, includes an RTX 3060 GPU for even more grunt needed by content creators and gamers alike. Also included is an adjustable keyboard that can be raised and tilted for user comfort.

Another feature worth mentioning is the updated ASUS Dial, a circular controller near the trackpad designed to seamlessly work with creative apps like the Adobe Creative Suite, plus it can be customised for use with other software. Expect to see the Zenbook Pro 16X OLED arrive in Australia by the end of October.

Also coming soon is the Zenbook 17 Fold OLED, which will have local availability and pricing details announced soon, in addition to the Zenbook 14 OLED (UX3402ZA).
