Sharp Corporation of Australia is entering two new categories: slow juicing and washing machines, Current.com.au can today reveal.
“For the health conscious, Sharp’s Slow Juicer makes the best tasting juice as it does not cause oxidation or separation of the juice,” said national marketing manager Mark Beard.
“The method of slow juicing enables the juice to effectively retain important nutrients which are naturally found in fruits and vegetables."

Sharp’s first Slow Juicer is available in White and Silver (EJCP10BJW, RRP $499) and Red (EJCP10BJR, $499).
Slow juicing started to gain momentum in late 2012 when Breville debuted the Juice Fountain Crush (BJS600, RRP $499).
“This professional inspired slow juicer crushes and squeezes to make juice with nutrients and a little fibre for a thicker, smoother texture,” said a Breville spokesperson. “The ultra-quiet motor and auto purify filter juices everything from berries and oranges to wheatgrass and carrots.”
Followers of the home appliance category might find it amusing that Sharp is releasing a juicer at the same time that Breville is releasing a microwave.
The other new category for Sharp is washing machines. The launch model will be an 8-kilogram front loader with a special 12-minute quick wash function.
