Entries for the Australasian Catalogue Association’s (ACA) 25th annual awards night are closing on Wednesday 1st June. Recognising expertise and excellence in catalogue marketing, the 2015 Awards hosted over 680 of industry members including retailers, marketers and creative designers.
Finalists for Retailer of the Year in 2015 included Chemmart, Myer, Nutrimetics, Harvey Norman, Telstra, The Good Guys, Chemist Warehouse, Kmart and Woolworths Supermarkets. With David Jones, Domayne and Dan Murphy’s coming out as winners on the night.
ACA CEO, Kellie Northwood said, “We noticed a shift to localised photography and styling last year, in the past there was a trend of stock product photography coming in from overseas, however this year the creative is more stylised and focused on the Australian market. Content has also improved as big brands are investing in rich content to build brand stories and messaging as well as implementing digital technologies such as augmented reality to add further content layers.”
“The quality of work submitted this year has been exciting and competition is tighter than ever. We are seeing innovative work being produced from a wide variety of industries and businesses showing us how effective catalogue media is today,” she added.
The awards night will be held at Crown Palladium on Friday, 2nd September 2016, with comedian Dave Thornton returning as Master of Ceremonies.
