Amazon has kicked off 66 hours of savings to its Australian Prime members with local deals running until 11:59pm AEDT on October 14.

Prime Day 2020 is said to deliver Australian Prime members more deals than any previous Prime Day event with exclusive access to tens of thousands of products at discounted prices from both big brands and small local businesses, including Bosch, Huggies, Samsung, Willow by the Sea and Zenify. Amazon Australia has also launched their ‘Shop Local’ store featuring products from hundreds of Australian small businesses.

Deals will be available across all categories including Amazon devices, consumer electronics, toys, fashion, beauty and more. Registered customers shopping with an eligible American Express card can earn 10 bonus points per $1 spent on October 13 to 14, up to a maximum of 5,000 points.

An example of savings on Amazon devices includes $100 off the RRP of the Echo Show 8, and there is up to 40% off selected Panasonic cameras and 26% off selected Nikon cameras and the Fitbit Versa 2 savings start from $199. A Bose Soundbar 700 is 36% off and save 30% off selected Lenovo laptops and 24% off the Samsung Galaxy Note 20. There is also a saving of 15% off selected PlayStation 4 video games and the PlayStation 4 Pro 1TB console (black) is $399, representing a 28% saving off the RRP.

Shoppers can also save up to 51% off the RRP on selected PlayStation DualShock 4 Controllers, while The Last of Us Part 2 – PlayStation 4 for $49.97 (sold by Amazon AU only) is 50% off the RRP. The deals on movies include up to 25% off 2020 releases and 4K movies on DVD and Blu-Ray.

Amazon Australian country manager, Matt Furlong said, “We are putting small Aussie businesses front and centre through our ‘Shop Local’ store in the run-up to one of our busiest shopping events and beyond.”
