The Good Guys last night pulled their sponsorship of the Kyle and Jackie O Show on Sydney’s 2DayFM after host Kyle Sandilands yesterday attacked a News Limited journalist during his high-rating breakfast program.

Sandilands unleashed a vicious invective at news.com.au entertainment reporter Alison Stephenson, who had earlier in the morning filed a story detailing the poor ratings of a Sandilands’ TV show on Channel 7.

“Some fat slag on the Telegraph website, sorry, news.com.au, has already branded it a disaster,” Sandilands said yesterday morning. “You can tell by reading the article she just hates us, and has always hated us.

“She trawled through the Twitter comments and pulled out all the bad comments and ran them. What a fat bitter thing you are, you deputy editor of an online thing. You’ve got a nothing job anyway. You’re a piece of s….”

In response to this, The Good Guys yesterday pulled their sponsorship, issuing the following statement on Twitter:

“The Good Guys does not condone the recent actions of Kyle Sandilands and has withdrawn breakfast sponsorship of the Kyle and Jackie O show.”

Other companies to pull their sponsorship include Holden and Vodafone.
