Bertazzoni Australia general manager – sales, George Alikakos has confirmed pleasing sales results for the company locally since the outbreak of COVID-19 as consumers look to refresh their kitchen as they spend more time cooking at home.

“From a retail perspective, February was extremely positive for us, which coincided with the arrival of our new built-in range,” he told Appliance Retailer.

“March then received a boost from the launch with April delivering a record result across both Bertazzoni and La Germania; but in particular the new Bertazzoni built-in range has caught the imagination of our customers. Our efforts with shop-in-shop and bringing the right product here has geared us in the right direction for the months ahead.”

Bertazzoni CEO, Paolo Bertazzoni recently shared a video about how the company’s values have supported the brand in both good times and bad times, and Alikakos believes it puts the brand in perspective.

“We have seen major global events before and have worked through them – as we will through COVID-19 – with grit and passion to succeed in the Bertazzoni way ‘to cook beautifully’. Taking their lead and government advice into consideration, Casa Bertazzoni Melbourne has re-opened to the public,” Alikakos said.
