Myer will re-open a further eight stores from this Saturday across New South Wales, Western Australia, and South Australia, following the re-opening of seven stores last week.

NSW stores that will open this weekend include Albury, Dubbo, Wagga, Erina and Miranda, WA stores include Morley and Garden City, and in SA, the Tea Tree Plaza store will be opened.

“Given the success and positive response from opening seven trial stores this past weekend, Myer has made the decision to open eight additional stores,” a Myer spokesperson said.

“We look forward to welcoming more team members back to work, and more customers back to their favourite department store, where we have taken extra precautions to ensure Myer has a safe and hygienic shopping environment for all.”

Enhanced safety and cleaning measures will be implemented including increased frequency of cleaning services; protective items such as hand sanitiser stations, face masks and gloves available to team members and hand sanitisers for customers; progressive rollout of sneeze guards at registers; social distancing measures with clear signage; monitoring of customers in store, and contactless payments.

Some services will remain suspended including beauty appointments, intimate apparel fittings, suit fittings and shoe fittings.

The department store said the re-opening of stores will occur progressively and on a staged basis, taking into account government measures and conditions across different states, particularly in relation to the easing of restrictions and stay at home measures.

For states where stores are not open, customers can visit the Myer website or utilise Click & Collect services at selected stores nationally.
