LG Electronics Australia is recognising and rewarding Australians doing their bit to help their communities, with a major giveaway activity.
Until October 28, 2020, LG is giving away up to A$230,000 in interconnected product solutions with its ‘LG Local Legends’ initiative that invites Australians to nominate individuals and groups who are making a difference in their local communities, through their time, actions, talents and/or dedication to others.
Starting from May 22, one individual, or group, will receive a product solution package made of up 2020 LG products from the prize pool.
To enter, participants visit: lg.com/au/lglocallegends, to share an image and tell LG in 50 words or less how amazing the consenting nominee is. Entrants sharing their nomination via Facebook will go into a separate monthly bonus draw from May 29 until October 30.
All nominees will be recognised on a ‘Local Legends Hero Wall’ on the LG Australia website.
The past few months have been unprecedented and challenging with drought, bush fires, floods and now COVID-19, yet the support shown in communities across Australia has been incredible, LG Australia managing director, Dan Lim said. “LG is pleased to help recognise and reward those who are selflessly working to make the lives of others better every day.”
In February LG donated A$500,000 to ‘WIRES Wildlife Relief Fund’ for frontline wildlife rescue and volunteer groups. LG recently partnered with Good360, a service that connects the needs of communities with businesses specialising in home furnishings, donating 100 essential whitegoods to the ‘Generous and Grateful’ program.
The company said its global commitment is to have 300,000 community beneficiaries of its products via the programs by the end of 2030.
