Hisense has developed new digital updates to optimise the online customer experience, including direct links through to its e-commerce partners and a live chat functionality that will be launched imminently, head of marketing Andre Iannuzzi told Appliance Retailer.

Further, Australians wanting to browse the Hisense range at home can use the Hisense Home AR app available on iOS and Android devices.

“Our new 2020 products will be added to the app as they become available locally throughout the year for ease,” he said.

Hisense has just launched its black steel 519L bottom mount refrigerator with Australia’s highest 6-star energy rating with additional refrigerator models to come, and the first of Hisense’s 2020 TV range will land in retailers from this month.

“The arrival of new products and stock is very important as we look to fulfil consumer demand; especially in the refrigeration category where we’ve seen a significant spike in sales,” he said.

Ensuring existing customers are well cared for continues to be a key priority for the Hisense business.

“To this end, in March we equipped our Melbourne-based Hisense customer care team to work from home. This was a critical transition as it means we can continue to provide Hisense customers with local service support during this challenging time, whilst maintaining the health and wellbeing of our team,” Iannuzzi said.

“These are unprecedented times; businesses around the world are grappling with COVID-19 and how best to respond to the rapidly changing world. As one of Australia’s leading consumer electronics and home appliance brands, maintaining our operations during this time is not only critical to our business, it is important to our partners’ too. Locally, we have been working very hard to support our customers, retailers and employees, as we work together to navigate this unknown terrain.”
