Eurolinx showrooms will re-open across the country in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth on Tuesday 12 May, after being closed for five weeks, in line with government regulations.

Normal visiting hours will apply with regular sanitation of surface areas and social distance practices in place.

While the showrooms were temporarily closed, Eurolinx national sales manager, Tristan Peters said there was an uplift in orders, increased live chat enquiries and over the phone queries about lead times on special order products from ILVE.

“ILVE has a lot of special order product that isn’t just sitting in the warehouse waiting to be delivered, it’s custom-built, and customers have been encouraged by their builders, architects, and designers to get their deposits or purchases in sooner to ensure the products arrive in time, which has been a good result amid a challenging situation,” he said.

“More time being spent at home has spurred a bit of a cooking frenzy which has also seen the replacement of appliances sooner than planned. For example, consumers thinking of a kitchen renovation have decided to go out and replace their oven and cooktop with a newer version of their existing model as they are cooking more meals at home.

“We have seen ovens, cooktops and freestanding cookers in the replacement market, identifiable in sizes that ILVE is unique for, such as 800mm cookers, see an uptick in demand also.”
