Two new models.

Panasonic will launch two new French Door refrigerators – the NR-CY55CGKAU with sleek black glass finish and the NR-CY55CPSAU with brushed steel look – featuring 551L capacity, Prime Fresh+ freezing, superior hygiene control and Econavi energy saving.

Unlike regular freezing, Prime Fresh+ freezing technology delivers soft freezing at -3 degrees Celsius, so nutrients and flavours are retained. It allows food to be cut easily and cooked without the need for defrosting.

Both models feature two Ag Clean antibacterial and deodorising filters – one for the main fridge and one for the Prime Fresh case – which suppress 99.9% of mould and bacteria to circulate cleaner air. The NR-CY55CGKAU also includes specialised blue LED lights in the Prime Fresh case to boost the effectiveness of the filter.

There are four types of Econavi sensors which monitor usage patterns and automatically optimise cooling performance to help reduce energy consumption.

Other key features include LED lighting on both sides of the fridge, height adjustable shelves for more efficient storage, compartment storage with unique cooling technology and strong tempered glass shelves that withstand loads of up to 150kg.

Panasonic Australia product marketing associate – whitegoods and small appliances, Ginger Yu said the latest French Door models combine a modern design exterior with innovative technologies inside.

“These fridges give families what they are after, fresh food and convenience. We know those with busy lifestyles will also love our soft freezing Prime Fresh+ technology which maintains flavour, freshness and nutrients for up to seven days.”

The NR-CY55CGKAU and NR-CY55CPSAU are now available for RRP $2,299 and $2,199 respectively.
