LG has refreshed its dryer line-up that includes four new heat pump models.

The range comprises two 8kg (DVH5-08W, DVH4-08W) and two new 9kg models (DVH9-09B, DVH9-09W) with new features and cosmetic updates designed to match the latest Series 5 and Series 9 front load washers.  The new dryers complement the one existing model in the range (TD-H803CSW), delivering a comprehensive portfolio of five dryers for customers to choose from.

All LG heat pump dryers carry a 9-Star Energy Rating, enabling them to use a fraction of the energy of a traditional condenser dryer (which is typically 2-star rated), according to the company.

The units employ the company’s latest inverter compressor technology, which assists in the motor control and delivers both low noise and low vibration when the dryer is on, as well as intelligent sensor technology to reduce over-drying of garments. All models include an automatic self-cleaning capability.

Users can also monitor progress, such as energy consumption, diagnose issues and download additional cycles by accessing the dryer remotely via the LG ThinQ app on compatible smart devices.

LG understands the pressures of rising electricity bills and this can be particularly evident in the winter months. We are driven to develop innovative solutions that help lighten the burden, LG home appliances senior marketing manager, Brad Reed said.

“Our heat pump dryers have very high energy efficiency ratings and combined with intelligent technologies, will deliver optimal drying performance and convenience for Australian households.”

A stacking kit accessory is also available. It can be stacked with 550mm or 600mm depth LG front load washing machines and Series 5 and Series 9 dryers and be matched to corresponding LG washers with similar external visual design elements.

RRPs start at $1,199 and up to $1,879.
