With the changing landscape of COVID-19, South Australian kitchen and laundry appliance specialist, Spartan Electrical has reviewed its business operations designed to give customers more choice in the way they shop with the retailer.
The Campbelltown and Torrensville stores will now be open from 9am to 7pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 5pm on Saturdays. From 3pm to 7pm Monday to Friday, customers will need to book a private appointment to visit the showroom without any other customers in store.
In an exclusive interview with Appliance Retailer, Con Tsoutouras said the Spartan website is now transactional for customers to shop the entire appliance range online. Customers can also reach the team via email, phone or social media with any queries or to process orders.
“Spartan has implemented several precautions to ensure the health and safety of its employees and customers both in store and during deliveries. This includes frequent sanitisation of surfaces, hands and appliances, 1.5 metre distancing by avoiding any unnecessary physical contact with staff and customers including shaking hands and if staff feel symptomatic, they must isolate and get tested.
“All in-store cooking demonstrations across all brands in both Campbelltown and Torrensville stores has been suspended until further notice. For customers looking for more personalised service or virtual tour of the showrooms, the team can provide a video call via Skype or FaceTime.
“The Spartan warehouse and delivery team has been provided with sanitiser to use pre and post customer home visits and deliveries. Customers have the option of a ‘drop and go’ delivery to avoid close contact or white glove service if preferred.”
