Miele Australia and New Zealand managing director, Yves Dalcourt officially cut the ribbon on the new Miele Experience Centre in Wellington, New Zealand earlier this month.

Around 50 guests including MCA trade partners, Miele ANZ team members, local designers and media were invited to the opening and enjoyed a canapé menu created by Miele NZ cooking brand ambassador, Michael Meredith.

Miele NZ general manager, Mark Bateson said the evening was a celebration of not only the new centre – Miele’s second in Wellington – but of the release of the most innovative kitchen products in the Generation 7000 range.

“Wellington is the smallest of our Experience Centres in the southern hemisphere but is already in the top three for foot traffic, demonstrating how well the space has been designed and the opportunity it provides the Wellington community to learn and understand more about our brand,” he said.

“The highlight of the evening was having the centre blessed by local kaumatua, the amazing food from Michael Meredith and the support from the local community. We are looking forward to providing Wellington with the opportunity to interact and experience Miele in this unique space.”

An interactive cooktop presenter with island benchtop compares various cooktop features and colour options, while an interactive rangehood display replicates the performance of various models for customers to experience varying noise levels.

A scanner of Miele CareCollection products and accessories explains the benefits of each product and details their compatibility.

The centre is also home to a live demonstration kitchen with regular discovery and owner cooking appliance demonstrations by Miele’s team of culinary experts. Each class showcases how professional results can be replicated with Miele domestic cooking appliances.
