The De’Longhi Group has implemented a staff rotation program for working from home and the office or warehouse to ensure social distancing requirements are met. The warehouse continues to operate in two rotating teams to service retail partners and ensure consumers can continue to access the De’Longhi home appliance range.

“The De’Longhi Group’s number one priority is the health, safety and wellbeing of staff, visitors and the wider community,” a statement shared with Appliance Retailer said.

“Given the unfolding situation regarding COVID-19 within Australia and across the world, De’Longhi has introduced more precautionary measures across its offices and the way we interact with retailers and the community by following updated guidelines informed by official health and workplace advice provided by the Australian Department of Health and health authorities in the locations that staff reside.

“In addition to social distancing, regular hand washing guidelines for all staff and availability of hand sanitisers across the workplace have been introduced. We are also ensuring that any staff members who may feel unwell do not attend work and we have suspended any international travel for work and postponed domestic travel. We are also following government guidelines for any staff returning from overseas, on arrival to Australia or New Zealand they are to self-quarantine for a period of 14 days from arrival in the country.

“We will continue to monitor the situation and government health and workplace advice and update any measures accordingly.”

In addition to the precautionary measures taken within the business, the De’Longhi Group has donated 3 million Euros (A$5.37 million) to support local health services on the frontline in Italy, the home of De’Longhi.
