Panasonic has received the 2020 award for most satisfied customers – microwaves, according to the latest Canstar Blue survey. Panasonic was the only brand to be awarded five stars for overall satisfaction.

The company beat out six other brands and received five stars for even heat distribution, cooking functions, ease of use, ease of cleaning and appearance/design.

Panasonic category manager – home appliances, Charissa Sano said, “We are very proud of this five star rating from highly respected Canstar Blue. Panasonic has a heritage of over 50 years in microwaves, and our models are a popular mainstay in Australian kitchens, offering smart features that make it quick to create great tasting meals, as well as looking good on the contemporary kitchen benchtop.

“Globally, the first Panasonic consumer microwave was launched in 1966, and today we’re ensuring that Australians’ choices are broader than ever – with a lineup ranging from handy entry-level models to products that rival the family oven with convection and grill capabilities.”

Canstar Blue editor-in-chief Simon Downes added, “People don’t realise how much they use their microwave until it’s gone, so it’s always worth investing in one that lasts the test of time and serves up the features you’re looking for. It’s ultimately all about convenience, so make sure you find a microwave that makes life easier for you.

“Our research shows that performance and ease of use are crucial factors for consumers, but we also want to know we’re getting good value for money. These are all boxes ticked by Panasonic in our microwave ratings this year. Not only did Panasonic stand out when it comes to the most important factors, but it was also the only brand to receive five stars for appearance and design, which is another important aspect for many consumers who take pride in their kitchen.”

Canstar Blue surveyed over 800 Australian adults on their preferred brand, with the survey also revealing microwave usage with 63% of respondents using their microwave on a daily basis, while almost one in five (19%) buying their microwave to complement other appliances and overall kitchen aesthetic.
