In partnership with Finder, Samsung Australia has launched a new first-of-its-kind credit card shopping feature for Samsung Pay.
Promoted Cards enables Samsung Pay users with the latest software update to discover credit card offers from American Express, Citibank and Virgin Money, with more issuers to be added over time. It is designed for Australians to choose credit cards based on categories including balance transfer, frequent flyer, rewards program, no annual fee and low interest rate.
The adoption of digital wallets is rapidly growing in Australia with more than one quarter (26%) of Australians using their smartphone or smartwatch to make transactions, according to Finder research. In fact, nearly one-in-ten (8%) say they use a digital wallet all the time.
Head of Samsung Pay Australia, Mark Hodgson said Australians are embracing the convenience of digital wallets and the number of transactions in Samsung Pay have doubled this year.
“Promoted Cards enables Samsung Pay users to easily and conveniently discover and apply for some of the most competitive credit card offers available through the app they already use and trust to pay, all on the go,” he said. “Our partnership with Finder, a market leader in credit card research and comparison, reflects our commitment to collaborating with partners to innovate and make life easier for Australians.”
Finder co-founder and director, Frank Restuccia said it is the first time Finder has entered into a partnership with an app in Australia. “The partnership has seen the alignment of two innovative and customer-centric brands, who are committed to providing Australians with the information they need and the latest technology to make personal finance easier.”
