Finder Retail Award winners crowned

Breville and Samsung dominate.

Australian comparison site, Finder, has named the winners of its Finder Retail Awards, voted by Australian consumers. In partnership with Roy Morgan, Finder collates more than 34,000 reviews from 4,000 Australians on purchases made in the past two years – the most comprehensive retail customer satisfaction survey in Australia.

Consumers are asked to rate the brands of everyday products on a range of factors including value, quality and safety, and if they would recommend the product to others.

Breville had the most wins across four categories – capsule coffee machine, coffee roaster and grinder, electric blanket and sandwich maker. Samsung took out three categories – TV, microwave and top-mount refrigerator, while Miele received two accolades in the barrel vacuum cleaner and dishwasher categories.

De’Longhi came out on top in the electric heater and portable air conditioner categories, KitchenAid also had two wins in food mixer and toaster categories and Fisher & Paykel was awarded the winner in clothes dryer and top load washing machine categories.

  • Robot vacuum cleaner – Xiaomi
  • Split system air conditioner – Fujitsu General
  • Stick vacuum cleaner – Dyson

Finder co-founder and director, Frank Restuccia said the Retail Awards are a natural extension of Finder’s personal finance awards program recognising Australia’s best products.

“In response to the dynamic retail sector and the increase in people looking to save money with deals, there is an opportunity to help Australians navigate these purchasing decisions. Further, unlike other award programs, it is free for brands to use the logo which means its independent of any commercial agenda.”
