Launches all-weather portable speaker.

Sonos has launched Move, its first battery-powered speaker for the outdoors, one of three new devices to be released. The speaker is designed to withstand falls, rain, dust and dirt, UV and extreme temperatures and features a rating of IP56. It is the first Sonos product with Bluetooth audio streaming and gives up to 10 hours of continuous play on a single charge.

For the first time, Sonos has created Automatic Trueplay that allows the device to tune itself to balance the sound to the environment, both indoors and outdoors. Move connects with the entire Sonos speaker range with access to Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa and over 100 music streaming services. RRP is $649.

Also released this month is the Sonos One SL smart speaker that features two Class-D amplifiers with access to streaming services via the Sonos app, Apple AirPlay2, music service apps and more. RRP is $269.

The new Sonos Port delivers Sonos streaming to a stereo or receiver and includes an updated digital-to-analogue converter and 12-volt trigger that automatically turns on an amplifier when signalled from the Sonos app. RRP is $599.
