With new patented technology.

Traeger Grills, inventor of the wood pellet grill, has launched a new line-up of grills with patented WiFIRE technology and D2 Direct Drive, allowing users to cook faster, smarter, and with more wood-fired flavor than any previous model.

With Traeger’s proprietary WiFIRE technology, the Traeger app allows a seamless connection from grill to smartphone enabling users to change temperatures, set timers and monitor food temperatures. Using Traeger’s GrillGuide, hundreds of recipes can be downloaded directly to the grill with step-by-step guidance. Previously only available in the Timberline, all grills in the new series will be WiFIRE-enabled.

The D2 direct drive drivetrain, powered by an industry-first brushless motor, uses a new variable speed fan and auger, providing optimal blue smoke production across a much wider temperature range for the finest hardwood flavor. It also features Turbotemp technology, allowing the grills to get hotter faster.

The best-selling Traeger grill, the Pro 780

Traeger Grills CEO, Jeremy Andrus said, “Traeger has been pushing the boundaries of outdoor cooking for over 30 years, reinventing the way people around the world think about grilling through remarkable wood-fired taste and convenience.

“We’re proud to take another huge leap forward as we introduce game-changing D2 Direct Drive and WiFIRE technology throughout our line of new grills, that truly takes cooking to the next level, whether you’re just starting out, or a seasoned pro.”

The best-selling Traeger grill, the Pro Series, now features a new Pro D2 controller and has an increased temperature range of 65 degrees to 232 degrees Celsius, which can be set in five-degree increments for precise temperature control. This is in addition to the WiFIRE technology and D2 direct drive. Available in two models – the Pro 575 and Pro 780 – RRPs are $1,499.95 and $1,899.95 respectively. Both models include a 8.2kg capacity hopper, meat probe and extra grill rack.

The new Ironwood 885 features 885 inches of grilling space, an innovative pill-shaped barrel design and Traeger’s downdraft exhaust and Tru Convection Systems to help food cook in the shortest amount of time. Super Smoke Mode allows users to increase the smoke and boost flavour at the touch of a button.

Equipped with the new Ironwood D2 controller and a temperature range of 65 degrees to 260 degrees Celsius, it also has a Keep Warm mode and features the WiFIRE technology and D2 direct drive. RRP is $2,499.95.

The new Timberline now includes the D2 direct drive and new Timberline D2 controller, in addition to new pellet sensing technology for users to monitor the amount of pellets in the hopper.  The Timberline 850 and Timberline 1300 are priced at $3,299.95 and $3,999.95, respectively.
