Three new smartphones from Alcatel’s global portfolio are now available in Australia, including the Alcatel 3, Alcatel 1s and Alcatel 1x.

The range launches alongside new relationships for Alcatel locally. Complementing long-standing relationships with the three major carriers and retailers including JB Hi-Fi, new and increased retailers include Officeworks and Australia Post, while Alcatel will also be available from Amazon in Australia for the first time.

Alcatel Mobile VP and regional managing director – South East Asia and Pacific, Sam Skontos said, “We continue to redefine what is possible in a sub-$300 device, with Australians more aware than ever before that it is possible to deliver exciting, innovative smartphones that don’t demand top dollar or compromise on performance. In 2018, we sold close to one million devices in Australia, and this year we’re taking it to another level with flagship-style features yet won’t break the bank.

“This marks the start of an exciting launch period for Alcatel and our related brands, with our product also more widely available than ever before with new open-channel partners including Officeworks, and our burgeoning presence on Amazon, as we are all about accessibility as well as affordability.”

The Alcatel 3, pictured above, (RRP $279), available via Amazon and Officeworks, boasts a Snapdragon chipset, 3500mAh battery and 5.9-inch HD+ Super Full View Display with Alcatel’s new “U Notch” design. It also features a dual rear camera (13MP and 5MP) with AI and AR technology, including the “real-time bokeh” feature for portrait style shots, and 8MP front facing camera with LCD flash. Additional advanced security features include face key and fingerprint scanner.

At just RRP $199, the Alcatel1s, available via Amazon, is designed for essential tasks thanks to 32GB ROM and 3GB RAM, and Octa-Core processor. The 5.5-inch Full View 18:9 HD+ Display is complemented by a dual rear camera (13MP and 2MP) and single LED flash. A fingerprint sensor provides secure access with the tap of a finger.

Like the 1s, the Alcatel 1x (RRP $179) at Amazon and Officeworks, boasts a 5.5-inch FullView HD+ display with an 83% screen to body ratio. The Alcatel 1x’s dual 13MP and 2MP camera has the ability to refocus and emphasise the focal point of images after they are captured or use real-time bokeh to give photos true depth with its depth of field sensor. For added security, the Alcatel 1x offers Face Key technology, which delivers safe, immediate access in 0.7 seconds using high-precision facial key points.
