Free to attend.

Oobah Butler, aka Georgio Peviani, described as the ‘Donald Trump of Trip Advisor’, will present a free keynote at the 2019 Online Retailer & Conference Expo on July 24-45.

In an era increasingly influenced by a climate of online misinformation, Oobah did just that by turning a non-existent restaurant, The Shed, into the number one rated dining establishment in London through social manipulation.

From his presentation, visitors will learn how Butler pushes the limits of implausibility to manipulate online platforms and create unthinkable results with an in-depth understanding of consumer behaviour, social influencer and engineering, fake news and the human psyche, and how to create improbable results.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to focus on the practical components of retail that are shaping the new norm of consumer interactions with key industry players addressing the most relevant areas of retail in one forum, from the customer life cycle from data driven marketing, unified commerce and tech adoption to fulfilment, last mile delivery, and environmental sustainability.

Online Retailer event director, Matt Smith said, “Online Retailer 2019 is the number one place for retailers to connect with peers and draw inspiration from some of the greatest learning stories this region has to offer. We have identified the biggest pain points for retailers, including capturing data and using it to map out customer behaviour, enhancing experiences, automating processes and adopting technology. The content places a heavy focus on these areas to ensure retailers are educated and can formulate the best strategy.”

Among the exhibitors are Catch.com.au, Shippit and CouriersPlease with keynote sessions from leading brands including Walmart, Australia Post and Salesforce.

The event will be held at the Sydney International Convention Centre and is free to attend for retailers.
