To deliver new content.

Australian edutech startup, Birde has partnered with children’s content giant, Nickelodeon. This partnership will see popular Nickelodeon titles added to the Birde content collection including PAW Patrol and Dora the Explorer, with more to follow.

Launched in late 2018, Birde is an Australian-developed smart media player designed to give Australian parents more control over what content their children are consuming. It allows young children to listen to audiobooks, music, and watch videos safely by streaming their favourite content through small tokens called Birde Seeds.

Nickelodeon titles will now be part of Birde’s ever-growing library of quality curated content specifically for children, with new content packs including four PAW Patrol Birde Seeds (13 episodes each), a PAW Patrol Mighty Pups mini-movie, Dora the Explorer, and more.

Birde CEO, Jack Lord said, “We are excited to be adding Nickelodeon titles to provide an even larger stable of quality content for Australian kids, as we continue to provide growing options for young children to access content and technology in a safe and controlled manner.

“We have received overwhelming feedback from our customers and content providers, with today’s announcement a strong endorsement of our direction and potential as we address concerns important to so many parents around the world. We are excited as to where this opportunity may take us.”

The Birde media library currently consists of thousands of hours of content, made up of audiobooks, songs and videos. In addition to Nickelodeon, Birde has partnered with ABC Kids, Universal Music, StoryBots, Dinosnores and Omens Studios.

The Birde console is available from www.birde.co, Bing Lee, Betta Electrical stores, Leading Edge Group and Myer Online for RRP $299. The Seeds retail for between $11.95 and $29.95 a pack from birde.co.
