“We have listened to consumer feedback and have been working hard behind the scenes to be able to accommodate Aussie BlackBerry fans, providing them with all the options for getting the iconic BlackBerry device that best suits their lifestyle.

“We know it’s not one size fits all solution, the BlackBerry Key2 range will accommodate the diverse needs of Aussie consumers, and deliver a great experience for everyday communication, with access to all the features, connectivity and applications our customers expect.”

The BlackBerry Key2 red edition variant builds on BlackBerry Key2’s features with a new design that incorporates a deep red Series 7 Aluminium frame with black accents on the back and the keys.

It is powered by Android and includes support for popular features like Google Lens and Google Pay, and comes with the recently introduced Google Assistant profile in the Convenience Key. With the Google Assistant profile in the Convenience Key, users can now manage tasks, plan their day, make a phone call, send a message or control IoT devices easier than ever before.

It also features a dual rear camera and the popular Speed Key with 6GB of memory and 128GB of storage. The limited red edition also  has a Hub+ software refresh which includes a new Action bar added to the bottom of the Hub+ applications improving ergonomics by giving users quick access to primary features like search, sort, and compose.

The BlackBerry Key2 black edition has an updated soft touch back and new diamond pattern that adds to the premium design while adding more grip and comfort. BlackBerry Key2 has a redesigned intelligent keyboard and 4.5-inch touch display that includes 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass which offers increased scratch resistance. Now offering up to two days battery life, 6GB of memory and 64GB storage plus expandable storage microSD support.

Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, the BlackBerry Key2 features Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 and new smart battery experience that will learn daily charging habits and recommend when to charge up.

The BlackBerry Key2 also introduces the first dual-rear camera on a BlackBerry smartphone. These dual 12MP cameras improve auto white balance, speed up auto focus, as well as improve image stabilisation. It also offers new capture modes, like Portrait Mode and Optical Superzoom. W

Google Lens enables users to quickly and easily search and get more information on things like book reviews by capturing a picture of the book’s cover, get landmark details and more.

The BlackBerry Key2 comes preloaded with DTEK by BlackBerry application that removes the complexity of security by showing an overall security rating of the device and how apps access data and how to manage app permissions. The DTEK by BlackBerry app now includes the new Proactive Health check feature, which means users can scan their device and receive instant feedback on potential vulnerabilities and security optimisations.

The BlackBerry Key LE smartphone lineup offers three colour variants – Slate, Champagne and Atomic – while maintaining the BlackBerry Key2 design evolution. It also comes with the recently introduced Speed Key for a more customised universal shortcut experience, and in addition to its Android operating system, includes support for popular features like the Google Assistant, Google Lens and Google Pay.
