Huawei has launched the MateBook 13, the company’s first 13-inch notebook for faster connectivity between devices.

This latest generation update, with its stylish clamshell design that the company said is setting a new trend for FullView ultra-books, continues Huawei’s strong presence in the PC industry with the MateBook 13 joining the flagship MateBook X Pro, the MateBook D and 2-in-1 series MateBook E.

“Huawei is committed to providing a truly seamless experience for users, and the MateBook 13 is a great example of this combining FullView display, user friendly features and a top-end processor,” consumer business group managing director, Larking Huang said.

The MateBook 13 also features a new cooling system with low noise high performance fans based on a shark fin design, a 2K resolution screen and comes in at an ultra slim 14.9mm weighing 1.28kg. The multi-functional power adapter can provide 2.5 hours of normal use from a 15-minute charge.

The MateBook 13 is available in two colours Mystic Silver and Space Grey for $1,799 RRP with optional accessories including a Bluetooth mouse, backpack and laptop sleeve. The device is available online and through the Microsoft Sydney store.
