Jura global CEO, Emanuel Probst was unable to attend the Asia Pacific product conference in Melbourne last week but recorded a video to express his gratitude to the company’s retail partners and reflect on the past year.

“2018 was another record year with Jura hitting over 500 million Swiss Francs (A$693 million) in turnover for the first time in its history,” he said.

“Machine sales have grown to 380,000 units, up 14,000 units on the previous year, with Jura Australia, Japan, Asia and China representing one quarter of the growth.

“Thank you to all of you; your hard work and enthusiasm for Jura. Stay focused, embrace innovation and share our passion for what we are doing.”

Speaking to Appliance Retailer, Jura Australia managing director, George Liakatos said 2018 was hugely successful for the local subsidiary.

“We recorded our best ever sales result with growth of 12%. We also sold more units, surpassing all expectations, with the majority of our sales coming from the premium-mid segment.

“We also successfully launched our new advisory service Jura Live and our premium POS concept with more locations to be rolled out in 2019.”
