Uniden is rolling out its latest App Cam Solo 4G full HD 1080p security camera specifically designed for remote locations including farms and rural properties, as well as marinas and holiday parks.
The wire free camera relies on SIM based connectivity and a rechargeable battery for non-stop power when used with the optional Uniden solar panel accessory. The app enabled camera enables users to check in remotely from anywhere at any time.
Users connect to 4G via a SIM card using a data plan of their choice, allowing the Uniden App Cam Solo 4G to be installed and operated where a Wi-Fi connection is unavailable.
“Uniden has had a strong 2018 in the security market with growing market share in an ultra-competitive market,” Uniden national marketing communications manager, Brad Hales told Appliance Retailer.
“With the success of our wire free security range, our plan was always to bring out a portable 4G model, where we see it working in so many markets including farming, agriculture, marine and construction where portable surveillance can be a great advantage and help.”
The security camera sports a contemporary weatherproof design to allow positioning outdoors and indoors, with a camouflage silicon sleeve providing added protection.
Other features include a 7800mAh rechargeable battery, which can be topped up during daylight hours with the solar panel accessory, up to 90 days of standby time and Thermo Sense Technology to eliminate false notifications from surrounding trees or branches. A siren alert can be activated as an additional deterrent, while the two way talk function allows communication through the built-in mic and speaker.
Users can view footage remotely via the free Uniden Solo app, which also sends alerts and push notifications when motion is detected. Footage can be stored via the Uniden Cloud backup or direct onto an SD card.
With a 110-degree wide viewing angle and starlight night vision, the App Cam Solo can record or live stream footage capturing more detail at night and in low light conditions.
