Following two senior redundancies.

The Good Guys merchandise director, Geoff Reader, resigned from the business, following a review of the merchandise buying team in June 2017 that resulted in the redundancy of two senior roles held by Wayne Jennings and Denis Harvey.

As a result, former general manager for CE/TZ, Biag Capasso was appointed to the role of general manager (home appliances), and former buyer for televisions and accessories, Greg Wilson, was appointed to the role of general manager (CE/TZ).

A statement supplied to Appliance Retailer from The Good Guys read, “We can confirm that Geoff Reader has made the decision to resign from his position as merchandise director at The Good Guys. During his time at The Good Guys, Geoff has been a valuable part of the team and has made a significant contribution to the business.”

Reader joined the business in 2011 and in his most recent role, he was responsible for all areas of merchandising for The Good Guys, encompassing buying, merchandise planning and operations, inventory management, portfolio, pricing and private label.
