To drive new category expansion.

Laser has welcomed George Nasr to the role of general manager of sales, responsible for managing relationships with retail partners in addition to further developing new business opportunities that will drive the brand’s expansion into new categories and markets.

The move comes after a significant investment in the sales channel more broadly, including three additional sales team members that will also report into Nasr. With a continued focus on strengthening its current product range, 2019 will see new categories introduced including pet-tech, fit-tech and home automation to complement its existing range.

Nasr brings a wealth of experience across the CE industry, specialising in retail relations and business development. Most recently, he was national head of sales air conditioning for Samsung Electronics Australia, responsible for sales team leadership, business development and channel relationship management.

Nasr joined Samsung Electronics in 2016, after spending 13 years with Yamaha Music Australia as deputy general manager of AV where he was tasked with various roles that involved sales strategy execution to drive new product category development, retail relations and channel management.

“Laser has experienced an exciting period of growth as we expand into new categories and channels. Naturally, we are excited to bolster our sales team and welcome George to the Laser family,” Laser managing director, Chris Lau said.

“His leadership and wealth of business development experience will allow us to further grow in partnership with our long-term retail partners, while driving the introduction of new product categories that will see us expand even further.”

“I am delighted to be joining Laser at such an exciting point in the company’s development and am thrilled to be supporting its growth,” Nasr said.

“I look forward to applying my experience to help further drive Laser’s business goals in Australia and beyond.”
