To be unveiled at IFA.

LG Electronics will present an expanded line-up of XBoom audio products with new XBoom Go portable Bluetooth speakers and XBoom AI ThinQ smart speakers that integrate Meridian Audio technology, at IFA in Berlin.

The XBoom mini component (CK99) and all-in-one (OK99) feature output from 1800 watts to 5000 watts. The Pro DJ Wheel enables creative mixing and scratching functions and fun lighting effects. Vocal tracks can be adjusted, including the pitch with Voice Canceller and Key Changer while the Grab & Move handle and casters on the LG OK99 ensures maximum portability.

With Meridian’s advanced audio technology, XBoom Go speakers (PK3/PK5/PK7) deliver clear treble and enhanced bass as well as powerful, accurate sound despite their compact size. It is the first wireless speaker to support aptX HD from Qualcomm for superb lossless 24bit/576kbps hi-res streaming audio.

LG was the first company to include aptX HD in a smartphone with the G5 and the advanced audio technology is now in the LG G7 ThinQ. The XBoom Go models also feature multi-colour mood lighting, Grab-N-Go and X-grip handles, as well as long battery life and water resistance.

LG XBoom AI ThinQ speakers (WK7 and WK9) feature Google Assistant for voice control of compatible smart home devices. The XBoom AI ThinQ WK7 speaker, currently launching in key markets, will be joined by the WK9 later this year with its 8-inch Smart Display for an interactive experience.

LG Home Entertainment head of convergence audio and video business, Seo Young-jae said, “By expanding our XBoom brand to include wireless and smart speakers, LG is opening up new possibilities with XBoom leading our entire home audio business.”

Availability, pricing and specifications for Australia have yet to be determined.
