At Good Design Awards.

Miele Australia has collected two Good Design Awards at the 2018 Good Design Awards ceremony in Sydney. The two winners were the Miele TwoInOne cooktop, which combines advanced induction cooking technology with an integrated downdraught extractor, and the Miele Blizzard CX1, hygienic bagless vacuum cleaner.

The awards acknowledge both appliances for design and innovation excellence as judged by a panel of industry experts whose specialist fields include industrial design, engineering design, software electronics design and architectural design.

The Miele’s TwoInOne impressed the judges with its sleek and unobtrusive appearance that adapts to almost every kitchen design. The practicality of the appliance also gained strong approval from judges and the low profile of the ductwork, which leaves ample room for kitchen drawers, was also recognised.

The Miele Blizzard CX1 utilises Miele’s exclusive Vortex technology, and was acknowledged as a successful product line-up with its functionality, which is easily accessed on the vacuum cleaner handle, demonstrating convenience and good ergonomics.

Miele marketing director, Gabriella Franklin, said the prestigious accolades recognise the outstanding achievements in innovation by the Miele Design Centre in Germany.  “The appliances are the result of extensive product research and development as well as careful attention to detail in order to deliver unparalleled performance, style and convenience,” she said. “These attributes are complemented by environmental sustainability and durability.”
