Australian online marketplace, eBay.com.au, has welcomed Julie Nestor to the role of chief marketing officer (CMO). She brings more than 20 years of marketing experience in Australia and Hong Kong and in her role as CMO, will drive results through an increased focus on loyalty, personalisation and partnerships.

eBay Australia and New Zealand managing director, Tim MacKinnon said the hire was a strategic move. “Julie brings a wealth of experience in consumer marketing, loyalty, payments and in partnering with Australian retailers.”

In her previous role as vice president of consumer marketing, American Express, Nestor was responsible for major projects including leading digital capability development, spearheading the company’s move to bring digital wallets to Australia, designing card loyalty programs and delivering brand and experience through customer communications and performance marketing.
