With four new smartphones.

Nokia has reinforced its smartphone line-up with four models to be released to the local market that set new benchmarks in materials and design and announced it is to become the first global partner to a have a full suite of devices in Google’s Android One program.

Nokia 8 Sirocco

The Nokia 8 Sirocco is enhanced with Dual-Sight, Zeiss optics in an ultra-compact profile with a stainless steel frame at just 2mm thin at the edge and a curved pOLED 2K 5.5-inch display; the Nokia 7 Plus combines an ultra-sensitive 12MP wide-angle primary camera and a secondary 13MP camera with 2x optical zoom and delivers two days of battery life; the new Nokia 6 is over 60% faster than its award-winning predecessor in a more compact, durable body made from a solid aluminium block with a Corning Gorilla Glass 2.5D display and USB-C fast-charging, all within a more compact screen-to-body ratio; the Nokia 1 with Android Oreo is optimised for devices with 1GB RAM or less and gives full access to Google Play, available in a range of colours with a tough, two-tone polycarbonate cover.

Nokia 7 Plus 

The smartphones come with a limited number of pre-installed apps. Android Oreo out of the box gives Picture-in-Picture for multitasking, Android Instant Apps, 60 new emojis and battery-maximising features. The smartphones will be released to selected retailers in May, priced from $149 for the Nokia 1 and up to $1,199 for the Nokia 8 Sirocco.
