Following cricket scandal.

Australian cricketer, David Warner may be stripped of his ambassadorship with LG Electronics after breaching Cricket Australia’s code of conduct in a ball tampering incident during the recent cricket test match in South Africa.

LG Electronics Australia announced Warner as its official brand ambassador in November 2014 ahead of the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup, and he later featured in LG OLED TV campaigns.

LG said as a sponsor of vice-captain David Warner, they are keeping a close eye on developments and the ongoing response from Cricket Australia, “which will inform actions regarding the partnership”.

“Our ambassadorships are constantly undergoing review so that we are able to make the best decisions for our customers, employees and stakeholders. As a brand that sets out to improve the everyday lives of Australians, our focus is on ensuring our partnerships reflect those values and that is our first priority,” a statement supplied to Appliance Retailer read.
