Until 2020.

Whirlpool has extended its ambassadorship agreement with Scott Gooding (pictured) for a further two years. Following a successful 2017 partnership that saw Gooding become Whirlpool’s first ever Australian brand ambassador, this new agreement will extend until 2020.

Whirlpool Oceania general manager of marketing, Liam Bryers said, “We are thrilled to work with Scott as a brand ambassador for Whirlpool in Australia for another two years. Whirlpool is committed to the Australian market, and the partnership with Gooding has enabled us to communicate our core values of keeping it simple and fun to cook healthy meals at home.

“Scott perfectly embodies our corporate identity in actions, values and voice, aligned with our core values of health, simplicity and family. His authentic approach to living a healthy lifestyle and giving back to his community reflects both the Whirlpool kitchen range and brand personality perfectly. We have a number of exciting local initiatives planned together this year, so watch this space.”

Gooding said, “Any opportunity to contribute to understanding that healthy cooking can be quick and easy with the right tools, and gives back the gift of time with loved ones and real health benefits, resonates with me.

“I am honoured to be a member of the Whirlpool family in Australia, and look forward to working with the team more closely this year to effect change and continue to spread our shared message – that with the right tools and know-how, it can be quick, simple, affordable, and most importantly fun, to create healthy meals at home.”

Gooding was a semi-finalist in the 2013 season of Channel 7’s My Kitchen Rules. In addition to his extensive culinary skills, Gooding brings a wealth of experience as a consultant to food professionals helping them to develop innovative, healthy, on trend and commercially viable new product offerings.

Combined with various promotional appearances, the partnership has seen Gooding pass on his knowledge about Whirlpool appliances, food and nutrition through a series of interactive cooking sessions with media and exclusive retail partner, The Good Guys.

Scott has kicked off 2018 with the launch of his new cookbook, The Keto Diet, and the extended partnership will see Gooding and Whirlpool continuing to educate Australian consumers about healthy cooking, through a series of fun cooking demonstrations and competitions across Whirlpool Cooking social media channels.
