To suit all household needs.

Samsung will expand its Family Hub refrigerator line-up as it aims to offer a configuration to suit all household requirements. The new models will include an update that syncs food storage with meal preparation thanks to Meal Planner, which provides recipes for the family based on food preferences, dietary restrictions and food expiration dates. It also recognises individual voices of family members and gives personalised information such as news, weather and calendar updates.

The company announced that Bixby voice control will also be integrated, although this feature has not been confirmed for the Australian market. The new model is set to roll out in the local market in Q2 2018.

Samsung Electronics Australia director of home appliances, Jeremy Senior said, “Samsung is committed to bringing meaningful innovation into Australians’ homes, delivering connected products and experiences that provide tangible benefits to the everyday lives of our customers. For many Australians, the kitchen really is the hub of the home and plays a critically important role in bringing people together. Our latest Family Hub refrigerator has transformed the concept of the kitchen to help deliver the best in food management, easy connectivity, and entertainment for the modern Australian home.”

“The Family Hub represents how Samsung is developing connected and smart technology to help support Australians in their the day to day lives.
