Selected by Samsung as part of global sponsorship.

As part of its global sponsorship of the Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018, Samsung selected inspirational Australians who stand out as achievers and dreamers. Winning Group CEO, John Winning and Retravision managing director, David Dorsett-Lynn (pictured below) represented the nation in the Olympic Torch Relay PyeongChang 2018 on Wednesday January 11, alongside PhD student Hayley Teasdale and Samsung STEM learning hub programme student, Dikshya Rawal.

Samsung Electronics Australia head of brand partnerships, Holly Adams said, “The Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018 is the absolute summation of personal sacrifice and determination and these four Australians show this in their own lives.”

Samsung hopes to make the experience a festival that everyone around the world can celebrate and feel part of the “Do What You Can’t” campaign.

“Samsung ignites the Olympic spirit by creating opportunities for everyone to discover their potential and celebrate the lights of the Olympic Torch Relay, to inspire hope, dreams and passion,” she added.

The Olympic Torch Relay PyeongChang 2018 will take place for 101 days from November 1, 2017, to February 9, 2018. A total of 7,500 torchbearers will be participating in the event as it winds through the provinces and cities of South Korea. The Olympic Flame has arrived in Korea at Incheon, and will eventually reach PyeongChang on February 9, 2018.
