Improvements to technology and design.

Sony has announced three new variations of its award winning MDR-1000X headphones, utilising its industry-leading noise cancellation technology.

The wireless WF-1000X earbuds incorporate industry-leading noise cancelling technology designed for commuters. With a 6mm driver, the sound is dynamic despite their compact size. When removed from the case, the headphones automatically power on and connect to the last device they were paired with. The WF-100OX offer three hours of battery life.

WH-1000XM2 is the new headband-style premium noise-cancelling headphones, offering new features including improved battery life and more options to tailor the sound. Enhanced to last 40 hours with an audio cable, or 30 hours wirelessly, the Quick Charge function gains 70 mins of battery life with just 10 minutes of charging.

The WI-1000X behind-the-neck wireless noise cancelling headphones boast up to 10 hours of battery life (with wireless noise cancelling turned on). With the world’s first ‘Atmospheric Pressure Optimising’ feature, they are ideal for in-flight entertainment systems via a wired audio connection with industry-leading noise cancellation for up to 14 hours. The intuitive design includes zip style cable management and vibration alerts for incoming calls.

Using the new Sony Headphones Connect app with the new 1000X headphone series allows for more flexibility in customising how users want the headphones to adjust to their surroundings. The world’s first activity recognition ‘Adaptive Sound Control’ feature is realised by Sony’s integrated technology, Sense Engine, designed to provide a personalised experience for every single sound, including music and ambient sound, tailored to individual needs.

The WH-1000XM2 and WI-1000X also boast the world’s first ‘Atmospheric Pressure Optimising’ feature that uses sensors to detect the air pressure and optimise the noise cancelling accordingly. An equaliser allows users to tailor the soundscape even further.

The Sony WF-1000X (SRP $399.95), WI-1000X (SRP $449.95) and WH-1000XM2 (SRP $499.95) are available now in black or neutral.
